So, who or what is Scorecard Research? Basically it is a data tracker company. It tracks websites to collect Internet web browsing data for market research for companies such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and CNBC, Internet services companies and Fortune 500 companies.
Besides the use of online surveys, it also uses the web beacons. A web beacon is a small snippet of code aka a web bug. It is embedded in a web page or email. Its aim is to to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the Web site or sending the e-mail.
